Guilt says I did something bad, but shame says I am bad. In the Ghost of Christmas Past series, Pastor Dale explains where shame comes from and how God removes it.

1. Shame began in the garden when Adam and Eve disobeyed, and sin and shame go together.

2. We keep doing shameful things because we are born with a sin nature, and none of us is exempt.

3. We overcome shame by confessing quickly, stopping shame-based thinking, and believing what God says: you are not what you did, you are who Christ says you are.
